Washington, DC Presentation and Launch of Poets on Prozac

On May 5 at the Annual Meeting of the American Psychiatric Association I will be on a panel discussing my essay in Poets on Prozac: Mental Illness, Treatment, and the Creative Process, edited by Richard M. Berlin and published by Johns Hopkins University Press on April 1, 2008.

Reading on Friday,April 13

On April 13 at 7:30 pm at Westmoreland Church, poets Jean Nordhaus, Dwaine Rieves, and J.D. Smith will read from their newly published books. The reading is free and open to the public; voluntary donations will be accepted to benefit the Marie H. Reed Community Learning Center in Adams-Morgan.

Westmoreland Church is at One Westmoreland Circle in Bethesda, where Western and Massachusetts Avenues come together. Parking is available in the lot behind the church on Mass Ave. For more information, call the church at 301 229-7768.
